The Vista Sans Wood Type Project is a highly collaborative and experimental pursuit organized by Tricia Treacy and Ashley John Pigford involving the creation of wood type of the Vista Sans™ typeface with a purpose-built CNC router. The type has been printed by 21 different international artists/designers/ printmakers/letterpress studios, resulting in a set of prints reflective of the post-digital and multidisciplinary nature of contemporary, collaborative artistic practice. They will be exhibited throughout 2012, starting in New Orleans in March 2012.
The project blog documents the creative process of all twenty international artist and project exhibitions.
